THE DEPLORABLE DEVIATION OF MOLVI EBRAHIM DESAI – DEMOLISHING THE CENTRAL PILLAR OF THE DEEN

A Student of the Deen from the U.K. writes:

“I agree with The Majlis regarding Mufti Ebrahim Desai’s error - his view on sport being permissible. However, this dilution of the Deen by the Mufti is nothing new. The fatwa below, which is available on his website (dated 24th April 2017) , devalues Salaah with Jamaat, which many Ulama say is Waajib. His rationale seemingly is that secular education is very important.

The title of “Mufti” doesn’t absolve one of the responsibility to make effort to protect the Imaan of the one who asks for a fatwa.

The following is the question and Mufti Ebrahim Desai’s fatwa:

 

“Question
Aslam o alaikum, I'm a student and I pray duhur in my university timings. The congregation starts at 1:30. My new semester teacher wants to change the timing of the class and that will clash with my congregation timing. I asked him not to do so, but he insists. Is it allowed for me to leave the congregation and then pray on my own after the class or not? Can you please provide some shariah evidence that I may convince him?”

 

Answer
“In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.


If your teacher does not facilitate for you to perform salaah in congregation, you will be excused to perform salaah by yourself after the classes.

COMMENT

When even the fundamental importance of the very first Fundamental practical obligation of Islam, namely Salaat, has not been understood by this molvi, he cannever be a valid Mufti. He lacks the qualification for issuing fatwa. We shudder to think of the attitude and mentality of his students who will spread out to their countries to propagate baatil and dhalaal.

 

This haraam and baatil fatwa is tantamount to kufr. The molvi has accorded preference to kufr education. He has made Salaat and the Deen submissive handmaids of kuffaar education which has greater importance for him than the Institution of Salaat on which rests the entire Structure of the Deen. Salaat is the dividing line between Islam and kufr. Its abandonment is kufr according to Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam).  Only a molvi with vermiculated brains is able to disgorge the kufr of abandoning Jamaat Salaat for the sake of kuffaar education.

 

It is the disease of desensitization which has ruined the molvi and constrained him to issue a stupid haraam baatil fatwa, the falsity of which every Muslim layman with healthy Imaan can understand. His haraam fatwa of kufr sends shivers down the spine of a Muslim who understands the meaning and value of Salaat and performing Salaat by Jamaat.

 

Let it be known to this molvi who has taken the route of dhalaal (deviation) that performing Salaat with Jamaat, besides being 27 times superior, is WAAJIB by consensus of all the Fuqaha of all the Math-habs. The differing technical classification, does not detract from the fact that Jamaat Salaat is practically incumbent – compulsory. The molvi and the maajin (moron) muftis wallowing in nafsaaniyat seek to bamboozle   ordinary simple folk – the unwary and the ignorant – with technicalities and citation of lengthy Arabic texts from the Fiqh books which are hieroglyphics for ordinary persons, and which the maajin characters cite to awe readers and to flaunt fiqhi expertise when in reality they miserably fail to understand what they are quoting.

 

To understand Fiqh, the Qur’aan and the Ahaadith, the imperative need is Taqwa, and this is a strange and an alien concept for the molvis of this eras. They are muftis and imams of dhalaal. Instead of being repositories of hidaayat and beacons of Light to guide the masses, they mislead the ordinary people, weaken their bond with the Deen, open up avenues of fitnah and fisq for them. Instead of drawing people closer to Allah Ta’ala, they widen the chasm between the Allah Azza Wa Jal and His servants with fisq and fujoor.

 

It is NEVER permissible to abandon or forgo Jamaat Salaat for the sake of submitting to a faasiq, faajir teacher. It is NEVER permissible to abandon Jamaat Salaat for even Qur’aan and Hadith education. Confound the kufr education. On the Day of Qiyaamah you will be answerable and perhaps severely punished for having abandoned Jamaat Salaat to conform with the dictates of kufr education which is the gateway of atheism and immorality.

 

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam), himself had issued the fatwa of  Jamaat Salaat being Waajib for even an aged blind Sahaabi, but this molvi  advises Muslim students to abandon Jamaat Salaat for the sake of kufr education. What has happened to his brains? What has happened to his Imaan? His dalliance with kuffaar financial institutions – legalizing the riba products of the kuffaar capitalist banks – have destroyed his Imaani inhibitions. It is this diseased thinking and erosion of Imaan which has constrained him to say in defiance of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) that “all sports are NOT haraam”, when Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) declared emphatically and explicitly: “All sports are Haraam.”

It is the disease of satanic desensitization which has constrained this molvi to elevate kufr education to a higher pedestal than Salaat which is the Pivot of the Deen. It is the Fulcrum on which revolves the entire Edifice of Islam. Deficiency in any aspect of Salaat, severely weakens Imaan and it has an adverse ripple effect in every department of the Muslim’s life.

 

Once Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) intended to burn down the houses of those people who do not perform Salaat with Jamaat. Yet this molvi advises students to abandon Jamaat Salaat and to obey the faasiq / faajir / kaafir teacher of kufr education.

 

All Muslim students should understand and remember that it is haraam to forgo Jamaat Salaat to comply with the regulations of the institutions of kufr education. There is absolutely no scope for permission to abstain from Jamaat in this case. Abstention from Jamaat Salaat for the sake of kufr education is a kabeerah sin of the greatest dimension.

Establishing Salaat with Jamaat is the first and fundamental obligation of the Islamic State according to the Qur’aan and Sunnah.

The student who had posed the question has a healthier Imaan than the molvi who issued the haraam fatwa. It was the Imaan of the student which had constrained him to ask the question. It hurt his Imaani conscience. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “Sin is that which agitates your conscience.” It was this Imaani agitation which compelled the student to ask the question, for he realized the evil of the teachers instruction. But the molvi neutralized and destroyed the Imaani inhibition to evil and haraam of the student by misleading him with the baatil advice of obeying the teacher and disobeying Allah Azza Wa Jal.

 

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:

“Verily, I fear for my Ummah the aimmah mudhilleen.”

 

They are the ‘Ask Imaams”, the maajin muftis and the scholars for dollars who convolute the teachings of the Deen to mislead and deviate the Servants of Allah Ta’ala from Siraatul Mustaqeem. May Allah Ta’ala save the Ummah from the clutches of dhalaal of the ulama-e-soo’ who are the worst enemies of the Deen.
