NURUL ISLAM MUSJID OF LENASIA
MASSIVE KHIYAANAT OF TRUST FUNDS WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE MILLIONS OF RANDS
According to the ‘illegal’ committee running the affairs of the Nurul Islam Musjid in Lenasia, the running expenses of the Musjid for the year were R600,000. Together with the Ramadhan and Jumuah collections, the Musjid’s income for the year was R1,250,000. Thus, the Musjid should have a surplus of R650,000 for the year.
Instead of the surplus, the miscreant committee states:
“The deficit for the running expenses of the Masjid is approximately R350,000 for the year.”
The loss incurred in running the secular school is being loaded on to the Musjid. The Waqf funds of the Musjid are being utilized to make good the loss of the school. This is haraam. It is massive khiyaanat (abuse and embezzlement) of Trust funds.
By a system of shenanigans, monies from one public body to the other are being transferred illegally in terms of the law as well as in terms of the Shariah.
In a statement, the committee shows an income of only R250,000 for the Musjid for the year. This is palpably false and deceptive. The R250,000 represent only the collections made during Ramadhaan and on Fridays. The miscreant committee, pulling wool over the eyes of the community, conveniently seeks to separate from the Musjid’s income the rentals from the Musjid’s properties to enable them to use the millions in haraam avenues.
The income of the Musjid is not restricted to the donations. The millions in the form of rental from the Waqf properties also belong to the Musjid. This is where the massive khiyaanat is taking place. There is an imperative need for the Musallis of the Musjid and for any honest committee members to demand a forensic audit. The massive khiyaanat must be investigated.
