A ZINDEEQ-MURTAD MUST BE DISMISSED - HE CANNOT BE A TRUSTEE OF THE MUSJID
A Brother from the U.K. writes:
“Here in Batley UK, we have a chairman of a Masjid who has been the chairman for many years and despite efforts will not leave his post. He has a history of speaking incorrect things over the Masjid microphone. He openly gives his own views on matters of Deen and does not respect the Ulama.
Recently, a local MP Joe Cox who was a good human being and human rights activist, was killed and died with out Iman. The chairman has a video in which he sings a tribute for her, and then another video in which he speaks against those who say only a Muslim can go to jannah.
Could you kindly have view and listen to these videos. There is no music. Comment on the state of Iman of this person. He is of the opinion that Joe Cox is in heaven due to her good work. Is such a person worthy of running a Masjid?
Is he even within the fold of Islam with such views?

THE SHARIAH’S ANSWER
(1) This chairman/trustee of the Musjid is a zindeeq. He has lost his Imaan. Besides his acts of fisq, he is guilty of kufr. His kufr is:
Singing a tribute in praise of the dead kaafirah.
Criticizing those who say that only Muslims will go to Jannat.
That the kaafirah, Joe Cox, is in Jannat on account of her humanitarian work.
The pivot of najaat (salvation) in the Aakhirah and entry into Jannat is IMAAN, not humanitarian work, not moral excellence, and not charity. Minus IMAAN, the consequence is everlasting damnation in the Fire of Jahannam.
It is imperative for this chairman to renew his Imaan as well as his nikah. Meanwhile, he should be dismissed from his post. It is haraam to retain as a mutawalli a zindeeq-murtad.
