AMERICAN CARRION AND SOUTH AFRICAN CARRION ARE THE SAME
THE BLOW OF U.S. CHICKEN CARRION FOR RAINBOW AND SANHA
The large-scale imports of U.S. haraam chicken carrion marketed as ‘halaal’ has severely affected the profits of Rainbow carrion chickens halaalized by SANHA. On the instructions and in the interests of Rainbow, SANHA issued a stupid hybrid political-religious article which is in reality crafted for the interests of SANHA’s boss, Rainbow Chickens. In the stupid statement, SANHA flabbily adopting the stance of The Majlis, states:
“Furthermore, during our inspections of such plants abroad, huge inadequacies and weaknesses in their "Halaal" programs were noted. It is impossible to exercise stringent monitoring and audit control without having the required trained and dedicated authorized Muslim monitors onsite, in addition to impromptu spot audits as we do locally. SANHA therefore will not give approval based on the presentation of a "Halaal Certificate" per shipment as was alluded to in the Fin24 article. A serious difficulty is the fact that it becomes impossible for the Muslim consumer to identify the products since these are brought in as portions and sold to industry for further processing, without the benefit of any labelling on the end product. These items could surface as portions of fried chicken at take outs, meals at restaurants, processed meats such as polony, and cuts from your butcher or retailer. CONSUMPTION OF POULTRY IS NO PALTRY MATTER – SAFEGUARD YOUR IMAAN BY FOLLOWING THE HALAAL BODY THAT YOU HAVE CONFIDENCE IN.”
Regarding its comments on the issue of “inadequacies and weaknesses during inspections of such plants abroad”, SANHA has most shamelessly and blatantly ignored the massive inadequacies and discrepancies which our inspections and the inspections of others had discovered at local plants certified by SANHA. In a deluge of articles we had presented a mass of evidence to confirm without the slightest doubt that the haraam discrepancies at SANHA certified plants are the same as the evils being committed at the American carrion plants.
SANHA without the slightest vestige of shame says: “It is impossible to exercise stringent monitoring and audit control...” The very same situation SANHA predicates for the American plants, exists in all the plants certified by SANHA. The control and supervision claims with which SANHA bamboozles the Muslim public are in reality myths, hence the repeated halaalized pork, fraudulent use of logos, packages, so-called erroneous labelling, etc. Every sane person should be able to understand that the supervision which is an “impossibility” in America is likewise an impossibility in South Africa.
SANHA says: “SANHA will not give approval based on the presentation of a “Halaal Certificate” per shipment....” Yet this Carrion Certifier expects others to devour its halaalized carrion merely on the basis of the ‘halaal’ certificate it issues. There is absolutely no difference between the ‘halaal’ certificate issued by a SANHA-type entity in America and the ‘halaal’ certificate issued by SANHA here in South Africa. Both are haraam and frauds issued for the sake of the haraam boodle.
Another stupidity stated by SANHA, is: “...it becomes impossible for the Muslim consumer to identify the products since these are brought in as portions and sold to industry for further processing, without the benefit of any labelling on the end product.”
Precisely the same problem applies to products certified by SANHA. SANHA itself has several times issued statements regarding the fraudulent use of its carrion logo and about pork-mislabelling. How can the ordinary man in the street ever identify if the carrion chicken in the packet bearing the carrion logo of SANHA is indeed the chicken which was slaughtered at the certified carrion plant? And, how can even the slaughterers verify and declare under oath that all the chickens sold in the million supermarkets are in the fact the chickens which they themselves had slaughtered? The only indication is a logo on a packet. But such logos are acquired by stealth and used fraudulently as has been confirmed by past episodes. The very “impossibility” applicable to the consumer of American carrion is valid for the consumer of Rainbow and other carrion certified by SANHA.
Then shamelessly and unthinkingly, emulating The Majis, SANHA states in bold terms:
“CONSUMPTION OF POULTRY IS NO PALTRY MATTER – SAFEGUARD YOUR IMAAN BY FOLLOWING THE HALAAL BODY THAT YOU HAVE CONFIDENCE IN.”
The terms adopted by SANHA to promote the interests of Rainbow are indeed laughable. Since when does SANHA know anything about “Imaan”? We have been calling on Muslims for decades to safeguard their Imaan by abstaining from consuming carrion. Now SANHA tries to speak our language, albeit restricting it for American carrion poultry, and exempting Rainbow carrion poultry from its (SANHA’s) hollow and insincere call sounded not for the Deen and Imaan of Muslims, but for safeguarding its monetary interests so closely tied to Rainbow carrion chickens. There can be no confidence in any carrion certifying body.
