On the Day of Eid a businessman assaulted a Maulana at the Eidgah in Pietermaritzburg. Please read the businessman’s comments. What should be our attitude?  What is the Shariah’s ruling?

We shall refrain from commenting much on the actual assault since we are not aware of the background. Nevertheless, the following Hadith of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) should suffice for those who have Imaan:

“Abusing a Muslim (i.e. using vulgar language at him) is fusooq (flagrant and immoral sin), and to fight with him is kufr.”

Thus, on the basis of the businessman’s own version in which he proudly claims to have beaten up the Maulana, he has committed kufr.

Besides him confessing to this kufr, he has acquitted himself with extreme arrogance, ignorance and pride. He has struggled like a madman to convey the satanic idea that the Deeni institutions (Madaaris and Madaaris) in Pietermaritzburg are operating on the strength and goodwill of men of his ilk. He has childishly and stupidly laboured to create the idea that without the money of the businessmen, the Works of Allah Azza Wa Jal cannot operate.

To divest his vermiculated brains from this satanic misconception, it is now imperative, i.e. Waajib, for the Deeni institutions to refuse his contributions. It is HARAAM to use contributions of such scoundrels in the Projects of Allah Ta’ala. Now that he has made bold the satanism which motivates contributions from him and others like him, it will be absolutely despicable and bootlicking to accept any of his contributions. He should make contributions to some Christian church or Hindu Mandir. Musaajid and Madaaris managements should not accept any money from him. If despite what has happened, his contributions are accepted, then we can safely say that they need to be assaulted by such scoundrels.
