A Concerned Brother from the U.K. commenting on the villainy of the Wifaqul Ulama group of the U.K. writes:

Second UK Lockdown and the Stance of Wifaqul Ulama

UK will be entering a second lockdown this forthcoming Thursday for a month and possibly beyond. Masajids will only be permitted to have individual as opposed to congregational prayer.

Aside from the lack of scientific proof for such a disproportionate draconian measure, Wifaqul Ulama endorsed a letter from UK faith leaders to the Prime Minister, which prima facie seems very noble of them. But when you read what they are advocating, it is batil dressed up under the guise of representing Muslims & Islam.

Hereunder is the pertinent extract from their letter:

“Since March, places of worship across the country have played and continue to play a pivotal role in supporting communities of all faiths and none. As we came out of lockdown, places of worship - including mosques - have implemented a rigorous system of social distancing and other precautionary measures to ensure the wellbeing of all worshippers and minimise potential risks.

We believe that the continued running of places of worship with all the necessary precautions is vital for the wellbeing of all communities. It is therefore our request that places of worship are allowed to continue operating synchronised worship subject to the social distancing and other necessary safeguards, which are already in place.”

The questions that arise from this seemingly innocent, well-meaning statement are as follows:

(A) Wifaqul Ulama were at the forefront in March of, at best, acquiescing in closure of the Masajid approximately a week before the lockdown legally came in to force. When they treaded the slippery slope of the pre-Islamic belief in contagion  back then, did they not have foresight of where this may lead to and for how long?

(B) As a result of that initial error, now they are being forced to promote the bid’ah of social distancing in Salah as a means of keeping the Masajid open for what they deviously call ‘synchronised worship.’ They can’t use the commonly used terminology of ‘congregational prayer’ because they know that that entails standing shoulder to shoulder and straightening the rows. Implicitly, they therefore acknowledge that their Salah is not a congregational prayer as is known to Muslims. It’s a deception to con the masses in to thinking they’re performing ‘congregational prayer.’ In reality, how can it be a congregational prayer when Shayateen are in the rows? As far as I know, and the last time I checked, Shayateen don’t perform congregational Salah.

Did not the scholars of Bani Israeel perpetrate such a play on words to distort their Deen?

(C) How can one expect the Help of Allah Ta’ala when the basis of keeping the Masajid open is a flagrant violation of the explicit Command of Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam to fill the gaps and straighten the rows?

(D) The Ulama are supposed to lead the people in promoting complete Deen, not partial Deen, bid’ah, obfuscation or abrogation of Sunnah. My question is: when they will grow a backbone, put their Trust in Allah, and promote the haq to obtain the Assistance of Allah. Or do they think that their compromising approach, i.e. a little bit of this mixed with a little bit of that is acceptable in the Court of Allah?

In conclusion Wifaqul Ulama’s disingenuousness is galling. Instead of repenting and resetting, they continue to tread the slippery slope of compromise to rectify their initial error. Increment by increment they will alter the Deen until the real Deen will be unrecognisable to the masses.

In 6 short months, we have already had so-called Muslims vehemently rejecting and opposing those insisting on standing shoulder to shoulder and filling the gaps. Without any Shar’i substantiation for this intransigence they arguably exited the fold of Islam by rejecting something that Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam explicitly commanded.

It reminds me of the saying of the Sahabi that a time will come when not a single person in the Masjid will be a Muslim. And this all originates from the spineless stance of the majority of the Ulama, who promote batil and cause the masses to unwittingly flirt with kufr.
(End of the Brother’s article)

Today, in this age of close proximity with Qiyaamah, the worst criminals responsible for vandalizing and mutilating the Deen of Islam are the molvis and sheikhs who come glaringly within the purview of the Qur’aanic castigation of the Ulama of Bani Israaeel.

No other cartel of deviates has harmed the Deen and misled the ignorant masses as perpetrated by the ulama-e-soo’ of this Ummah. Due to the villainy and crimes of these ulama, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that “the worst of the people under the canopy of the sky will be the ulama from whom will emanate fitnah.”
