ERADICATE THE FILTH FROM MADRASAHS
A Concerned Sister writes:
ASSALAAMUALAYKUM
I notice the concern over the homosexuality and abuse of children in Madrasahs and by molvis and teachers.
I wrote to The Majlis years ago, suggesting that the Ulama found guilty should have their Ulama certificates revoked by the institutes where they studied. Alhamdulillah you did publish it in the Majlis.
The one thing an abuser fears, is exposure. Nobody liked it when I exposed an old “aalim” who was abusing boys. I spoke the truth. I know what the wives of victims often go through later in life. (That ‘old aalim’ happened to even be a sheikh or a spiritual guide – a sheikh whose practical acquittal demonstrated that perhaps he was an atheist. –The Majlis)
I suggest that the Daarul Ulooms urgently take action as I had suggested in that email I sent The Majlis years ago, before the lurid mess reaches the scale it has reached in the catholic church. I have the greatest admiration and respect for the true Ulama and Deeni institutes. But the molvi perverts are casting a dark shadow over even the good ones and they are disgracing the Madaaris. In fact, the cover-up by Madrasah authorities is bringing disgrace to the Deeni institutes.
I suggest that the DaarulUlooms start earnestly rooting out homosexuals. Make open investigations and expel those boys inclined to homosexuality, rather than give the Madressah a bad reputation.
I live in Lenasia. It is common knowledge among the youth about certain Madressahs : you go in straight and come out gay.
And secondly start making abusers face accountability. Start calling in the parents of abusers, expel them and start laying charges against the perpetrators.
The one thing an abuser thrives on is anonymity. Every pervert fears exposure and public scandal. This is their weakest point. They value their reputations more than they value their perversions.
Keeping quiet is actually destroying the reputations of Deeni institutes. It is not saving it. The people in charge are under a huge misconception that by hiding the problem, they are saving their Madaaris. Silence is only a short term solution, which is going to lead to massive long term complications and public embarrassment. How long will it be before victim’s parents are no longer silenced and actually start suing the institutes for millions of rands in damages?
After hearing the stories coming out from the Daarul Ulooms and graduates, boys are being put off from enrolling in the DaarulUlooms. This is chasing sincere students away from acquiring Deeni knowledge.
Allowing perverts to graduate as Ulama will only spread the rot into the community. And allowing perverts to continue to masquerade as Ulama, without striking their names off from the Ulama register is not going to help the reputation of the Ulama fraternity. People will hear the word “Aalim” and equate it with “christian priest pedophile”
It is better for Muslims to deal with it now, before it spirals out of control and finally reaches the kuffar media. And then Muslims will be labelled as perverts. And the non muslim governments investigate and shut down the daarul ulooms because they are institutes of child abuse. This is what the kuffar wait for: to demonise Islam and Muslims. WAS SALAAM
