17 YEARS OF SOFT INFILTRATION INTO ISLAM 2007 – 2024
In an era where armies cannot break faith, they have infiltrated it from within. The attack on religion no longer comes through cannons, but through religious figures. Among the most blatant and dangerous stories is that of Ali al-Jifri and the Dar al-Mustafa Foundation, which, in 17 years, transformed from a Sufi center in Tarim into a soft power tool serving projects aimed at penetrating Islamic consciousness for the benefit of the West and Israel, quietly and with kind words… but with disastrous results.
Since 2007, the outlines of the project began to take shape when Al-Jifri co-signed the “Common Word” document with 138 religious figures, addressed to Christian leaders in the West. The document was discussed at American universities such as Yale and Princeton, and while it appeared on the surface to be a call for interfaith dialogue, it was in practice the first step towards redefining Islam, distancing it from its liberationist causes. It transformed the conflict from a matter of occupation into a “theological misunderstanding,” a dangerous repositioning that removed religion from the arena of just struggle and placed it on the table of bargaining.
In 2016, the predetermined course became clear when al-Jifri visited occupied Jerusalem on an Israeli visa, stood at the Western Wall alongside Rabbi Yosef Herzog, and stayed at the King David Hotel for $8,700 (reservation number: ILJ67843). This visit was not a “personal initiative,” but rather a calculated symbolic normalization, later exploited in the Hebrew media as evidence of a shift among some Muslim scholars toward “advocates of tolerance toward the entity,” thus stripping the issue of its religious sanctity under the guise of “peace.”
In August 2016, al-Jifri participated in the Russian-sponsored Grozny conference, where Salafism and liberal schools of thought were excluded from the definition of “Sunni Muslims” in a document designed to legitimize the religious exclusion of dissenting currents and to empower a discourse that criminalizes all liberation movements in the name of “confronting extremism.” The conference laid the foundation for a phase of pre-prepared fatwas serving hegemonic systems.
In 2018, a secret meeting took place between al-Jafri and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in New York, an organization that classifies any act of resistance against occupation as terrorism. In the leaked recording, al-Jafri stated, “Armed liberation is violence that is not sanctioned by Islamic law,” a statement that amounted to nothing less than an official declaration to bury the last vestiges of resistance to the occupation and the struggle for dignity. Later, the “Taba” movement was incorporated into American coexistence programs as a soft power tool to promote this new discourse.
At the end of 2020, the most dangerous meeting took place at the David Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv, where al-Jifri met with Rabbi Yitzhak Levin and stated unequivocally: “The Palestinians must forget the right of return, and armed liberation is not a solution.” File ISR-Knesset-5543 confirmed that the meeting was authorized by Mossad and that al-Jifri had become a religious intermediary, conveying messages and softening Islamic rhetoric under direct supervision.
At the beginning of 2021, while Gaza was being bombarded, al-Jafri emerged calling for negotiations and de-escalation, saying, “Blood only begets blood.” His speech resonated with the Israeli media machine, which promoted the idea that “mature Islam” no longer saw value in liberation and that compromise was preferable to sacrifice.
In 2022, the financial truth behind this trend came to light. A U.S. State Department document (StateDept-88765) revealed the transfer of $6.4 million from the U.S. Treasury to the Tabah Foundation (US-TREASURY-AA678) to support a “moderate Islam” project that punishes voices of liberation and rewards subservient rhetoric. The funding was described as strategic money laundering of religion using funds from the occupation.
Then, in March 2023, a CIA report (file XF-776) revealed that Dar al-Mustafa had been included in the US CVE program, which trains local preachers skilled in the jurisprudence of justification. Verses about jihad were removed from the institution’s curriculum, the teaching of Ibn Taymiyyah’s books was banned, and the required discourse became one of “the jurisprudence of coexistence,” which stifles any intellectual or practical liberation movement.
In October 2023, a Europol report revealed that the European Union was funding al-Jafri with €3 million annually through the EURISLAM project to promote a “European Islam” discourse in Yemen. The training focused on fostering acceptance of the occupation, prohibiting calls for change, and marketing individual discipline as the ultimate goal, while criminalizing any voice demanding the restoration of usurped rights.
Then, in February 2024, leaked documents from the Zotero platform revealed that the Tabah Foundation had purchased a plot of land in West Jerusalem to build a “dialogue center,” but the testimony of a Palestinian worker exposed the plan: during excavation, stones inscribed with “Islamic Waqf” were found, and they were instructed to remove them silently. Thus, the project became an active partner in the de facto liquidation of the Islamic Waqf under the guise of “dialogue and tolerance.”
The final blow came in May 2024, when a document from the Israeli Knesset (ISR/2021/SPY-387) was leaked confirming that al-Jifri was registered as an “active agent” in the Mossad under the code name “Sad Bird,” and his mission was to recruit advocates who would legitimize the occupation, in exchange for $13.7 million deposited into his secret account at a Liechtenstein bank (ACC: LI880076543219876).
The document was attached to a leaked WikiLeaks list (USEMB-ISR-554) containing the names of scientists wanted to be “neutralized,” six of whom were later assassinated.
Thus, over the course of 17 years, Dar al-Mustafa transformed into a platform for infiltrating Islam under the guise of Sufism, and al-Jifri transformed from a sheikh of praise into an engineer of dismantling Islam from within, all under the banner of smiles and prayers. Every step was calculated, every appearance programmed, every fatwa pre-prepared. It wasn’t a gradual slide, but a systematic engineering of replacing a religion of liberation with a religion of submission, and legitimizing treachery under the guise of purification.
From the “Common Word” document to the title “The Sad Bird,” and from the jurisprudence of coexistence to burying Islamic endowments with excavators, Al-Jafri and Dar Al-Mustafa charted a bloody course without a single bullet… only with a kind word that suffocates the oppressed, and a soft turban that wipes away the blood of truth.
