MUFTI TAQI USMANI – SA PROGRAMS

“The friends of the court” and their proxies have wheeled out “Shaykhul Islam” Mufti Taqi Usmani for what is a public relations exercise, to stroke their ego, nafs and garner public “credibility”. These tactics are expected from these miscreants.

What though is especially concerning is that other Ulama laud Mufti Taqi with praises, call him a great Alim and encourage the public to attend his programs. The Ulama themselves are attending these programs.

On what Shariah basis is Mufti Taqi classified as a great Alim? Mufti Taqi has openly encouraged and condoned photography, the corrupt “Islamic” banking system, dalliance with the Pakistani government, called for the implementation of COVID policies during lockdown in compliance with his government protocols and in fact some of his statements at that juncture leaves one shuddering on the state of his Iman. No human being is infallible, we err and transgress but when an Alim plods this path publicly and despite the passage of time does not make public taubah nor issue a warning to the masses then he is “persona non grata”. Even if in his local tour such topics are not raised the awe and respect imbued are detrimental to the Aqaaid of the layman. The local Ulama of Haq should acquit themselves intelligently. The same cannot be expected of those aligned with the “Friends of the court”, those sympathetic with them or the fence sitter. 

Muft Taqi is NOT his father. His lineage nor his academic excellence in other facets of Ilm renders him great. The discerning factor is and shall always be ittiba-e-sunnah, ta’at and proclamation of the Haq. 

It is our dua that he reforms his ways before maut approaches.
