PROSTITUTES IN THE MUSJID-ARRANGED BY JALSAH KHANAAZEER
The following statement of Qalamul Haq is reproduced verbatim. The Majlis shall, Insha-Allah, comment in another article soon. The headline of this article is that of The Majlis.
On Thursday 27 November 2025 I stopped at Nomania Musjid at the Darul Uloom premises in Karwastaaan, Durban to perform Asr Salaat. I was late for Jamaat as I was returning from work I was doing on the road. I prefer to stop and perform Salaat at a Musjid before going home even if the Jamaat Salaat is over as I work much “on the road” . I was aware that a Jalsa was taking place from observations made at Zuhr, the same day. After Zuhr Salaat my eight year old son asked me why there were tables laid out at the back area of the Musjid. I explained to him about the Jalsas but also asked him if he was happy with such. He saw no problem so I asked him the sunnna method of eating and what is learnt in maktab, Madrasah and Darul Ulooms regarding Sunnah. He understood immediately and replied in a very loud, understanding way saying that such is wrong, it is Bidat and not Sunnat and the Moulanas and adults of tomorrow are going to teach and practice eating against the Sunnah method. I explained to him that we will not attend such and that is why I looked irritated especially because this was taking place at a Daul Uloom that claimed to be from the Ahlus Sunnah.
Coming back to Asr that day. As I was walking from the car to the Musjid I heard a brother calling from a bit of a distance. I ignored the voice as I was rushing for Salaat. He called louder and with a tone that caught my attention. I turned and could see that he was calling me with urgency. I walked towards him only to be told that MEN CANNOT GO INTO THE MUSJID AS THERE WERE LADIES THERE FOR THE JALSA. So I asked in irritation where were the men. He replied that they went to another venue nearby. In my anger (Bugz Illaahi) I asked in a loud voice if everyone had gone crazy and lost their marbles. Are the Ulama losing their heads? I asked what were ladies doing there and in the musjid no less, to the extent that men could not enter for “purdah” reasons. What nonsense is this! The women should not even have been at the Musjid and should be at home.
The brother told me in a low voice that he was just doing what he was told. I then asked him in a loud voice that if he was told to give up his Imaan or drink poison will he do such. He lowered his head. I asked if he was instructed to commit sin then will he commit such and he said softly that he wouldn’t. So I asked him why is he involved in such nonsense and participating in such and spoke of the absurdity of what was going on. I then prayed Asr salaat on the sandy, grassy area near the musjid in the Musjid yard and left visibly upset while hearing some Qari loudly reciting the Quraan Majeed and making Dua over the speakers. One wonders if these Qura and Ulama recite their Qiraat at home in such beautiful voices in Nafl Salaat or is it just to impress the ladies.
Salaat outside the masjid for a man because females were in the Musjid! An arrangement made by Ulama no less who are the supposed respected leaders of the community and looked up to for advice!
A day before this incident, I heard someone asking my son his name and some other conversation. After replying with his name he came close to me and sat with me. I put my arm around him and looked at him with a smile but a look of disapproval at the same time. After Salaat and outside the Musjid I explained to him that he must not talk in the musjid and that if anyone tries to talk to him he must simply whisper, “My Papa told me that we mustn’t talk in Musjid”,and come to me immediately. Alhamdulillah when the boys are playing and talking in the musjid, my son will walk away and come sit with me. But I could understand his confusion when an adult spoke to him.
He Is a true Umar Alhamdulillah. He once saw Muslims with Kurtas etc in a KFC we were walking past and told me that we should go in and tell them that they must not eat Haraam. I could not help but smile with joy and Shukr to Allaah Ta’Aala and told him that he can do that when he is bigger and a man, but to leave it for now. I then asked him why would he wanted to do such to which he promptly replied that maybe they were not aware and should be taught such. Subhaanallah, our little children understand these concepts with simple explanations and reasoning on their level but grown men of Ahlus Sunnah and Deoband still don’t get it. And when articles are put out then “Don’t Judge” and Ulama e soo, UUCSA Jamiats and Sanha etc are used to justify Haraam and Bidat activities.
If those who are supposed to be the heirs of the Ambiyaa Alayhis Salaam and claim to be followers of Deoband are involved is such ridiculous activities, then if we don’t teach our children ourselves and keep them close to us and keep ourselves in line for their benefit (as well as ours), then we are doomed. May Allaah Ta’Aala protect us from the fitan of these times and from his Azaab when he does choose to unleash it on a bunch of ungrateful, arrogant people. Sinning is one thing, but sinning in the name of Deen and justifying sins is on a whole different level.
