? MAULANA FAZLUR RAHMAAN OF PAKISTAN
QUESTIONS: SEEKING CLARIFICATION
Q.1 – The CLARIFICATION ISSUED BY Madrasah Taleemuddeen of Isipingo Beach and published also by The Majlis, does not name the You Tube Aalim who had given the ‘impromptu’ talk to the Madrasah’s students. For the guidance of those Muslims who try to be firm on the Deen, it is necessary to name the Aalim so that they can refrain from attending his bayaans. Why did the Madrasah authorities allow the You Tube Maulana to address the Talaba? It was a clear error which should be acknowledged.
Q.2 – Please offer some nasihat. There is a Pakistani alim in the country namely, Moulana Fazlur Rehman. This Moulana is quite senior, however not immune to photography, videography and YouTube.
He is being hosted by a senior, namely Moulana Shabeer Saloojee saheb and his sons. There has also been programmes by JUSA and Darul Ihsan with this Moulana being taken around by his hosts. How does one reconcile this?
Is it not hypocrisy in its purist form – on the one hand criticising those associated to the these organisations and those on video and who take photographs but on the other hand now taking an alim who partakes in these evils around, including organisations you have criticised? Is it permissible to host this senior Alim?
Q.3- The Aalim from whom Madrasah Taleemuddeen has dissociated is Maulana Fazlur Rahman of Pakistan. He is a very senior Aalim and a politician. He is the Khalifah of Hadhrat Maulana Yusuf Ludhyanwi (Rahmatullah alayh). But there appears to be an anomaly in Ulama hosting him here in South Africa. I believe that he is involved in dubious activities in Pakistan. Is it wise to host him?

Regardless of his seniority, it was an extremely unwise move to have invited Maulana Fazlur Rahman to South Africa. Regardless of whose khalifah he may be, this Maulana from the Shar’i perspective is PERSON’A NON GRATA. He is a Faasiq. Instead of Muslims benefitting from his talks, they will spiritually and morally be adversely affected.
Maulana Fazlur Rahman is a You Tube molvi. His snout appears in videos, on facebook and in the rotten, immoral internet media. He believes in the permissibility of pictures. All of his haraam misdeeds are perpetrated under ‘deeni’ guise, and it is this dimension which makes him a danger for the morals and Imaan of unsuspecting Muslims. There is zulmat (spiritual darkness) in even the deeni talks and writings of a faasiq. The fisq of this Maulana is undeniable since he perpetrates fisq in public.
Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“When a faasiq is praised (and honoured) the Arsh of Allah shudders.”
It is not permissible to host Maulana Fazlur Rahmaan of Pakistan.
It is not permissible to listen to the bayaans of this You Tube molvi. He is also among the Signs of Qiyaamah. The Deen is being manipulated for the acquisition of the dunya and in pursuit of nafsaani objectives.
