AAFIYAH HEALING
Regarding the practice of Aafiyah Healing, Mufti Ebrahim Desai objects to the clarification which we had published earlier. We had gained the impression from his letter that this therapy was haraam according to him. In this regard, Mufti Ebrahim now says:
“I wish to respond that I am still researching the issue and I have not arrived at a conclusion. Whilst I have not declared Aafiyah healing as permissible, I have not yet declared it as haraam as well as implied in the clarification.” (End of Mufti Ebrahim’s statement)
While Mufti Ebrahim has not made a determination, we say that
AAFIYAH HEALING AND ALL SIMILAR THERAPIES ARE HARAAM
