SHOCKING ABUSES AT THE HILAL MUSJID IN DURBAN
A Concerned Musalli of the Hilaal Musjid, lamenting and lambasting the trustees of the Hilaal Musjid states:
- Musallees come and park where they feel like, obstructing other vehicles with a don’t care attitude on a daily basis. Coming late and blocking vehicles as well at the main entrance and exit points making it frustrating and difficult for others to leave.
- Also the control freak supervisor incharge allows special privilege parking to the elite and fat trustees’ families.
- When Jamaats come on Tuesdays and Fridays they feel that they have a divine right to do as they please not considering daily musalees. They park and obstruct others. They force and squeeze themselves into the front saffs to “Gain the Maximun Reward” by causing inconvenience and takleef to others.
- There have also been cases of pedophilia within the jamaat movement and musallee ranks. Sexual grooming by a certain young married molvi who runs a CHILDREN’S MADRESSA and he was made in charge of the Hilal youth programs, even taking children home on Friday nights while their dear parents think that their beloved children are in a safe, good, deeni gathering at programs being conducted at Al Hilal. The children are taken by him for grooming, having baths, stay overs, massages and Allah Ta’ala knows best what else.
This was brought to the notice of both the Hilal Trust and Imams & Ulama, as well as the Jahil Jamaat bodies. But they are still allowing the pedophile molvi to run his hifz madressa, to join the jahil jamaat programs, gusht, spending time in jamaat “with children” and giving Wednesday evening naseehats.
Hilal’s disgusting response was that they don’t have the power or authority to do anything.
Musjid-e- Noor on the other hand, after bringing all the facts to them fired him as deputy Imam immediately.
- There is also an incident where a long standing known sick JAHIL JAMAATI elder ( A KNOWN PEDOPHILE) has throngs of children following him as a guru at his beck and call. He also runs the Hilal tuck shop with children as his assistants.
- Hilal property was also used for Sihr and Jadoo sessions where the guru and his children sat in circles and conducted their cleansing sessions. During the 2021 Looting & Chaos (in a small gathering where a senior most respected Muft was giving us advices on what we can and cannot do as Muslims to oppose this sheer madness and mayhelm around us, this despicable “boy lover” threatened to report us to the police/authorities as he knows all of us by face. This is only the tip of the iceburg.
- As for the people in “charge” from Top to Bottom (Trustees, Supervisors etc.) of the hierarchy especially the JAHIL JAMAAT, it is merely a power struggle of who wants control, authority and who wants to sit at the helm. There are splits in our own Hilal JAHIL JAMAAT camps.
- Who are they bluffing when they bus innocent poor children to join them at pomp functions to ultimately be molested and abused.

COMMENT
The vile child abuses are of grave and particular concern. The parents of these children have to shoulder primary blame for allowing their children to be in the company of the molvi and to sleep out and to participate in programs. Children are supposed to be constantly under the wings of their parents, not cast to the vagaries and lusts of the type of persons mentioned by the Brother. The place of children is the home where they are safe. This safety is eliminated by scoundrels under Deeni guise.
Parents who allow their children to participate in these programs are complicit in ruining their moral character. Sexual misdemeanours and abuse of children by teachers and those who organize programmes which require children to sleep out, are increasingly becoming common. All such programmes are shaitaaniyat organized with Deeni cover.
It is essential for the trustees to dismiss the Ustaadh who is involved in these evil shenanigans. Some molvis want these evil issues to be swept under the carpet. Never, should the rot be swept under the carpet. Sweeping under the carpet such rot will only exacerbate the evil and ruin the morality of the children. Parents should be ashamed of themselves for abandoning their Amaanat of children entrusted to them by Allah Ta’ala.
As for the takleef caused to others by some unscrupulous musallis who park their vehicles haphazardly without considering the inconvenience they cause others, they should understand that coming to the Musjid for Salaat is not a licence for legalizing the haraam takleef they cause to others.
A fundamental constituent of Islam is the cultivation of virtuous moral character. Those rushing to Musjid and obstructing others with their reckless manner of parking are not gaining any thawaab. Their rushing is not an act of virtue. Rather, they are inviting Athaab (Punishment). Causing takeef to others is a major sin. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“You are not a true Mu’min as long as your neighbour is not safe from your calamities.”
Before doing anything, reflect and try to fathom your actions and statements.
Causing any takleef to Muslims is a kabeerah sin. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “A true Muslim as he from whose hands and tongue another Muslim is safe.”
Trustees of Musaajid in this era are usually fat cats who abuse Amaanat and who are not qualified to act as Musjid trustees. There is definitely no honour being a Musjid trustee even one is an uprighteous person. But men intoxicated with their love for the dunya and their insane craving for cheap glory on account of wealth, conduct themselves like atheists. They really have no understanding of Hisaab (the Reckoning) in the Aakhirat. Thus, they gain the copro-idea of their misdeeds being acts of virtue as mentioned in the Qur’aan Majeed:
“Say: ‘Should We inform you of those who will be the greatest losers as far as deeds are concerned? They are those whose effort is lost in this worldly life. They think that they are rendering deeds of virtue.” (Al-Kahaf, Aayats 103, 104)
