AID THE SUFFERING!
A SISTER FROM PAKISTAN WRITES:
“As the world watches the grave human crisis in Afghanistan where the order is no food, no water no nothing, the hard-hearted rulers of UAE and Saudi Arabia whose hi-end hotels, bars, gyms, food courts, etc. have now become graveyards and ghost towns in the aftermath of the current war, and whose economy has literally collapsed, are now spending from their reserves billions on space programs instead of helping the Afghans and the other millions of starving Muslims in Sudan, Palestine and other places, who are being forced to sell their children. Inna lillahi wa inna lillahi rajioon.
What can a small ummati like me do, other than Dua for them and Istighfaar on their behalf? Wassalam “ (End of the Sister’s lament)
The hard-hearted extremely wealthy Arab countries are not the only criminals who indulge in colossal haraam shaitaani squandering and in total forgetfulness of the sufferings of the Ummah at large. The suffering and misery are not restricted to Afghanistan. Palestine, Sudan, Somaliland, etc. are also putrefying in the same misery which exists in some parts of Afghanistan.
Muslims in South Africa and elsewhere who are blessed with much wealth indulge in extraordinary orgies of shaitaani israaf (squandering) to gratify their bestial, cruel, hard-hearted demands of the nafs. Whilst they are fully aware of the heart-rending plight of the suffering Muslim masses, they react with feigned obliviousness. Leave alone the murtad rulers of UAE and Saudi Arabia whose satanic squandering in haraam and Satanism are the natural demands of their irtidaad, even ordinary Muslims, and even those who are not stinking and swimming in wealth, are all gripped with the disease of shaitaani Israaf.
Whilst the Ummah is suffering in extreme misery without food and even water, Muslims squander millions in holidays, mock umrahs and in other haraam avenues. They should examine their Imaan! What they give in charity to soothe their conscience, does not mitigate the callousness of their hearts.
Contributing to charity (Sadqah) whether a little or much never justifies the waste of the wealth bounty of Allah Ta’ala, and understand that in this era of fitnah and shaitaaniyat, nafl ‘umrah’ and nafl ‘hajj’ are also Israaf. Compounding the shaitaani Israaf is indulgence in fisq and fujoor from the day of leaving home until the day of return. And, it is worse for females. Most people return from the Ka’bah Shareef loaded with sins. Don’t labour under the deceptive impression of fulfilling the Huqooq of Sadqah by doling out charity whilst also indulging in Israaf. This idea is pure shaitaaniyat. Whatever you expend in waste and shaitaaniyat, add it to the Sadqah to aid the suffering starving masses.
Even if one lacks the spiritual stamina for contributing munificiently to aid the suffering segments of the Ummah, one can at least contribute the funds contemplated for waste and merrymaking to aid the suffering brothers and sisters. The hundreds of thousands and the millions being wasted by ordinary Muslims for mock umrahs, weddings and many other haraam expenditure could be diverted from haraam to halaal to aid the suffering Ummah. But the disease of shaitaani squandering is deep-rooted in the hearts of Muslims who practically act like atheists.
The need is to look into the heart and to open the heart, and to examine the heart to understand the Road to Jahannam one has adopted by some self- deceptive interpretation proffered to justify the satanic waste. This is indicative of the contamination of one’s wealth. Hence, Allah Ta’ala does not bless one with the taufeeq to spend generously and with wholehearted happiness in His Path to aid His suffering servants. What comes in a haraam way, makes an exit in a haraam way.
Understand well and remember! The wealth to which your heart is glued – and squandering in haraam avenues is the proof for the heart being welded to money and the dunya – can be suddenly snatched away from you. At the time of Maut which is imminent, all the false ambitions and mirages hallucinated by the heart will come to a harsh and abrupt end. All your mundane aspirations will evaporate into the realm of oblivion, leaving in your heart regret and consternation even at the time of departing from this dunya. But experience has also established that even before Maut, Allah Ta’ala creates such circumstances which snatches away one’s wealth.
Whilst there is time, grasp the opportunity to spend freely in the Path of Allah Ta’ala, not in the path of Iblees for holidaying, mock and deceptive ‘umrah’, weddings, shaitaaniyat, etc., etc. It is Sadqah which extinguishes the Wrath of Allah Ta’ala, said Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Procure and arrange your Jannat now while there is still an opportunity available. See generously to the needs of the suffering Fuqara and Masaakeen of this Ummah. Do not become as callous and as brutal as the regime rulers of the Arab states and as are the riba capitalists who are driven to insanity by the touch of shaitaan (Qur’aan).
