CELEBRATING THE RELEASE OF PRISONERS
Islam is a heavenly Culture. It has its own unique ways for all departments and spheres of life. Islam has no toleration for the ways, practices and customs of the kuffaar.
About 90 Palestinian prisoners have been released by the brutal Yahoodi terrorist regime. Tens of thousands are still languishing in the torture centres of these brutal kuffaar. Along with the release of the handful of Palestinians, the Israeli Zionists have warned that jubilant celebrations would not be allowed. Despite this warning, thousands came on to the streets to welcome the small group of their returning brothers and sisters released from the torture cells and dungeons of the Israeli Satanists.
The Israeli military was helpless in preventing the celebrations. Anyhow, how would they have prevented these celebrations? Perhaps by resumption of the brutal bombing and wrecking the flimsy, brittle ceasefire agreement or by firing into the unarmed civilians? Such cowardice and brutality are never unexpected of Yahoodis who had murdered hundreds of their own Ambiya (Alayhimus salaam), and who had accused their greatest Prophet, Nabi Musaa (Alayhis salaam) of having murdered his brother, Nabi Haaroon (Alayhis salaam).
This naseehat is to explain the issue of ‘celebrations’. The kuffaar style of celebrations in which men and women intermingle and dance, scream and prance in the manner the Yahood and Nasaara do, are not allowed in Islam.
Hamas should have organized the kind of celebration commanded in the Qur’aan Majeed. Allah Ta’ala states:
“And, prepare for them (the kuffaar) whatever (military) strength you can muster, and also from trained horses, with which you may strike fear in the enemies of Allah, your enemies and in others besides them. You do not know them. Allah is aware of them.” (Al-Anfaal, Aayat 60)
The ‘horses’ in today’s context bring in their scope all kinds of weapons necessary for fighting the enemy. The ‘others besides’ the known enemies such as Israel and America, refer to all kuffaar. Kufr – all kufr – is a single breed of evil. The Qur’aan refers to all of them, of whatever hue and persuasion they may be.
Instead of the silly kuffaar kind of celebrations, Hamas should have arranged thousands of its fighters in battle array and staged marches. This would have had a salutary effect on the enemies. They will be astounded, dumbfounded and fearful to witness thousands of fighters in battle array despite their 15 months of brutal bombing from the safety of the skies and despite having massacred about 50,000, mainly women and children, and wounded about 200,000, and having reduced the land to rubble.
They will then understand that the Muslims despite their lack of military hardware and despite having no adequate response for the marauding murderous aircraft dropping millions of tons of bombs, cannot be defeated by cowards who prey on women and children.
The Hostages
Also, regarding the treatment of the hostages, it appears that these prisoners were not at all abused. Contrary to the brutality and torture employed by the Israelis on the Palestinian captives, Hamas has humanely treated the hostages. In fact, the hostages themselves will testify for this truth. However, there is something of vital importance for Muslims, and that is the Niyyat (Intention). Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“Deeds (that is good deeds) will be judged on the basis of intention.”
If the niyyat is to impress people, the deed is bereft of virtue and reward. If the niyyat is to gain the Ridha (Pleasure) of Allah Ta’ala and Thawaab in the Aakhirat, then the deed will be noble and accepted by Allah Ta’ala.
If meting out good treatment to the hostages was to impress America and the international community, it will then be devoid of Shar’i substance and of no benefit in the Aakhirat. If the intention was to please Allah Ta’ala by virtue of the hostages being His makhlooq (creation), for whom He has commanded kindness and mercy, then it will be an amal of lofty spiritual value for which there will be considerable reward. Muslims – genuine Muslims – do not reciprocate with brutality, torture and satanism which are the methods of the kuffaar when they take Muslim as captives.
