AL JAMA-AH POLITICAL PARTY
A CORRECTION
In our criticism of Al Jama-ah Political Party, dated 24 Safar 1444 (21 September 2022), we had mentioned:
“Shameemah Salie, spokesperson and councillor for the A Jama ah stands for everything that goes against Islam. She is from the Women’s Legal Centre (WLC)………..”
This statement appeared in a letter sent to us by a Sister from Cape Town. Reacting to our article, Mr.Ganief Hendricks of A Jama ah wrote:
“…Mrs Shameema Salie was confused with Mrs Shameema Samaai of the Women’s Legal Centre.”
Thus, the Shameemah who is of the haraam WLC is Shameema Samaai, not Shameemah Salie.
Caution
This correction should not be understood as a retraction of our criticism. We do not support Al Jama-ah nor any other political party. Every so-called Muslim political party has allegiance firstly to its political objectives, and in this pursuit Islam is cast by the wayside. For these political entities, their objectives have priority and override the Commands of Allah Ta’ala – the Shariah and the Qur’aan.
For example, Al Jama-ah’s heritage day statement and its condolence for the kaafirah queen, are politically motivated. In this process the Shariah is set aside, and this is intolerable to us and to all true Muslims.
