ALL IJTIMAS OF ALL ENTITIES AND OF ALL KINDS ARE MASSIVE STUNTS OF MERRYMAKING
Objecting to our criticism of the Camperdown Ijtima on the basis of waste and merrymaking, a brother who is a member of the Nizamuddeen faction writes:
“I had recently come accross your article about the tabligh ijtimaa in Camperdown and i failed to understand some of the content properly. Hence, i would appreciate if you could clarify some of the issues.
- You wrote the act and expectation of the Nizamuddeen faction are despicable. I would like to bring to your notice that the jamaat brothers and their hosts didn’t ask anyone for anything. Some concerned brothers of the community are encouraging the community to assist. No social pressure was applied by the jamaat brothers nor their hosts. No imposing and no beggary is being done by any of our jamaats.
- You say that there’s a certitude that haraam chickens will be provided.
I wanted to find out isn’t it haraam to have bad thoughts about others? The Quraan says
اجتنبوا كثيرا من الظن ان بعض الظن اثم
- You say it appears that the Ijtima is another merrymaking stunt.
Our Ijtima is the same like all other Ijtimas of the past. Simple meals are provided to the guests who have come from far and wide.” (End of letter)
COMMENT
Understand well, that all Ijtimahs (gatherings/functions) of all entities, be they Tabligh Jamaat’s two factions, Darul Ulama jalsahs, mass I’tikaaf gatherings, wedding functions and the like, are all functions of merrymaking, israaf, riya, takabbur and nafsaaniyat, all organized under guise of being Deeni acts.
In our earlier Naseehat to which the Tablighi objects, we had published the letter of a non-Tablighi resident of Camperdown who had provided the information on the basis of which we proffered our Naseehat. While we are unaware of the identity of this Tablighi brother whose letter appears above, we are aware of the Brother who had provided the information.
One of the two informants has erred or lied. Since we are aware of the Brother who had complained about the planned Israaf, etc. we have accepted the information as factual. On the other hand, we believe that the objecting Tablighi has erred because of his bias. After all, he is a follower of Molvi Sa’d.Besides this, we emphasize that all ijtimahs are the effects of nafsaaniyat and shaitaaniyat. The gatherings which the Akaabir had initiated a century or more ago have long ago outlived their utility. In our era these ijtimahs are not permissible.
Just consider and reflect on the current Camperdown ijtimah headed by Molvi Sa’d of the Nizaamuddin faction which his nafs had brought into being. Millions of rands/dollars are being squandered by the thousands coming from all over the world to participate in a three day picnic jaunt to eat, drink, sleep, listen to some talks and excrete. For this merrymaking huge amounts of money are flushed down the sewerage drains.
Have these people no shame! Most certainly, they are bereft of shame and they lack feeling for the suffering Ummah. Right at this moment while these miserable Tablighis are indulging in their merrymaking, Muslims in Palestine are suffering, starving and perishing, not only by the incessant brutal savage bombing of the kuffaar barbarians, but literally from hunger. There is no food to eat. Mothers, sisters and babies are perishing because of hunger whilst these vile tablighis are dancing to the tune of Iblees by wasting millions in travelling expenses, food, etc. for the production of only excrement. What has happened to the Imaan of these people. Don’t they know and don’t they understand that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“The Muslimoon are like a single Man. If the head pains the whole body is affected. If the eye pains, the whole body is affected.”
But these droves of Tablighis are unmoved. They dwell in confusion and deception with the mirage of being in the ‘path of Allah’ when they have no care for the Makhlooq of Allah Ta’ala, and when they befriend Shaitaan with their Israaf, and when they promote haraam factionalism in the name of Tabligh.
All these ijtimahs are massive occasions of israaf, riya and merrymaking. They are devoid of goodness. The external Deeni façade is a massive deception. They are lost in a whirlpool of self-deception. They have totally no perception of Maut, Qabr and Qiyaamat, hence they are so capable of exhibiting their deviation and lack of concern for the sufferings of the Ummah.
We are in the era in proximity of Qiyaamah, hence the predictions of our Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) have to incumbently bear fruit. One of the Signs predicted by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) is:
“The dunya (and the nafs) will be pursued with the amal (act) of the Deen.”
Tabligh is an Amal of the Deen. But it is today used for the achievement of worldly and nafsaani objectives. The nafsaaniyat in the adverts of the Nizaamuddin faction – advertising the Camperdiown ijtima – is palpably conspicuous, and so too are the intentions of the Raiwandi faction opposing the ijtimah of Molvi Sa’d. All of them – the whole miserable lot of Tablighis – have become the camp followers of Iblees.
The molvis of both miserable factions are mauling the Deen and ruining the Imaan of the ignorant masses with their nafsaani politics. About them, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“I fear for my Ummah the Aimmah Mudhilleen”. i.e. the molvis and sheikhs who mislead the people.
