Salaam.
I am from Johannesburg and was in Durban this weekend. I read my Jumma Salaah in the Mallinson Road Mosque in Asherville. I was shocked to find that the speaker was Mufti Jakhura who is the chief certifier of the Al Mabroor Ponzi scheme which is currently in business rescue. I lost money because of his certification with approximately ten thousand other investors in this ponzi scheme.
Mufti Jakhura also certifies life insurance and other insurance which is managed by 100 percent kuffaar insurance companies. He also appears on videos and television.
I was more shocked when he was encouraging the congregation in his bayaan to go for holidays in this fitnah summer holiday season. He quoted verses encouraging people to go for holiday s. He even said in the jummah talk that the people of Durban are lucky that they can go to the beach (in this silly season). The irony is that Ml Yunus Patel whos mosque this is used to stop people from places of fitnah especially in this time of fitnah.
As a musaafir, should i have performed my jummah behind such a person?

This ‘Ponzi mufti’ is among the Signs of Qiyaamah. We are in an age in which the dajjaali molvis and muftis preponderate. While these shaitaani ‘muftis’ masquerade as Muslims, their brains are putrid with kufr concepts, hence they promote haraam upon haraam. Riba and carrion promotion are their specialities. They are in entirety bereft of fear for Allah Ta’ala.
The promotion of kuffaar practices and customs even if not of a religious nature is haraam, and only an agent of Iblees has the shaitaani temerity of brazenly promoting kufr customs in a Musjid, and that too on the day of Jumuah. It is zulmat piled on zulmat.
Since the trustees themselves are fussaaq and bereft of Taqwa, they have no qualms in allowing the Mimbar to an agent of Iblees for promoting his kufr khuraafaat. This era abounds with molvis/muftis/sheikhs of Fitnah. They are in fulfilment of the prediction of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam):
“An age will dawn when nothing of Islam will remain, but its name, and nothing of the Qur’aan will remain except its text. The Musaajid will be ornamental structures devoid of guidance. The WORST of the people under the canopy of the sky will be their ulama. From them will emerge fitnah and the fitnah will rebound on them.”
These deviate molvis and ponzi characters are of the kind of molvis who will circumambulate their own intestines in Jahannam as mentioned by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). They are FATTAAN.
Almost all of the fitnah in the Muslim community has been initiated, promoted and grounded by the ulama-e-soo’ who are worse than khanaazier.
Since the Brother is aware of the mala fides of the Ponzi mufti, he should have gone to another Musjid for Jumuah. Performing Salaat behind dajjaali molvis is repugnant. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) expressed more fear for the ulama-e-soo’ than for even Dajjaal.
