MUSIC AND HARAAM SHENANIGANS AT THE MUSJID IN PIETERMARITZBURG
From Pietermaritzburg comes the following report and complaint of the haraam shenanigans perpetrated in the Centre Musjid in Pietermaritzburg where Mufti Abdus Samad Desai is the Imaam:
A sad and tragic indictment against the central Pietermaritzburg Muslim
community and the major donors of the Islamia Muslim school and Musjid
Trust.
We cannot believe the appalling levels we have retrogressed to.The
original and once very well upheld constitution of the Islamia Musjid
Trust, introduced and in force since 1947 has been unilaterally
scuttled,clearly without any mandate but more significantly without good
reason, disrespectfully dissolving the existing membership, without notice
and illegitimately ushering in puppet members to serve in a usurped
administration.
There is no accountability, no transparency of the financial
statements, [if there are any] with so many evidences of open wastage and
unnecessary expenditure and now, as if this is not enough, this shocking
revelation of the allowing of total Haraam Kuffar style extra curricular
activities being enacted inside the Musjid with HARAAM music, these vile
activities that would even embarrass the Barelvies to whom we are quick to
point the finger of heresy innovations against.
Some years ago a mushrik female comedian (Bash for Tash), was hired
for amusement by the then administration of Islamia School in a fund
raising campaign organized by the school.
A few months ago there was an incident of open theft of public
donations involving a huge sum of money at Islamia musjid with no
consequences and quietly hushed; all as a result of negligent and arrogant
administration.
Prior to this there have been other incidents of misappropriation and
mismanagement of public funds and very poorly dealt with and conveniently swept under the carpet.
There has never been a more exigent & pressing need for extra strict
financial accountability, controls and transparency than the current times
as we witness the unprecedented, ubiquitous and shameless abuse of public
funds in both religious and secular institutions.
It’s absolutely imperative that donors insist and be apprised on
proper audited financial statements and records and to be satisfied that
properly qualified members are elected with follow up checks on expenditure and proper administration with no wastage.
Imagine what a precedent we are setting for posterity in the field of
administration of institutions by conducting our selves so unprofessionally
whereas we were supposed to be paragons in prudence and discipline in
amanat.

Another Brother from Pietermaritzburg writes:
Regarding the recent concert/awards event that took place at the Center Masjid in Pietermaritzburg, I contacted a very reliable and trustworthy friend (an aalim) as I knew that some relative of his attends the Islamia School in question.
Upon enquiry from one of his relatives who was present at the said awards event, the following was confirmed;
- The concert/awards event took place upstairs the Center Masjid in the sehn area.
- Although majority of the people and activities were in the sehn area, there was an overlap of some of the audience in the masjid area as well.
- Although it was supposed to be a ladies only event, some of the male teachers were also present.
- There was also a presentation which had cartoons. This was to explain to the audience how they (the school) will be using screens in classrooms in future.
- As for the music aspect, apparently there were 2 sessions, one for the very small children and another for the bit elder ones. The person whom we enquired from was only present for the second session. However, his/her child mentioned that there was some musical play by the Grade R pupils for their awards.
As for the aspect of mismanagement of funds mentioned in this message, I can confirm two such cases.

There is an urgent need for the Muslim community of Pietermaritzburg to institute drastic action against this vile Imaam who has allowed even music in the Musjid. Whether the zina shaitaaniyat was enacted in the sehn, it is the same. The haraam was committed flagrantly inside the Musjid. And, if it was committed elsewhere in a zina hall, then too it remains haraam shaitaani shenanigans.
Those who organize and participate in such haraam zina shenanigans are in the shadow of the Hadith which predicts that in times of proximity to Qiyaamah they will become disfigured and transformed into apes and pigs. Those who have committed these dastardly evil misdeeds in the Musjid and its environ have the hearts of swines, hence they are bereft of even a vestige of Imaani conscience.
This wayward Imaam and committee who have allowed music and haraam intermingling of fussaaq and faasiqaat in the Musjid cannot be Muslims. They are munaafiqeen masquerading as Muslims. It is inconceivable for the worst faasiq faajir Muslim to condone music in the Musjid. The men and women participants were all zaanis and zaaniyaat. The La’nat of Allah Ta’ala has settled on these human devils. Worse obscenities are still to be witnessed in the Musaajid with the passage of time and the approach of Qiyaamah.
NO ONE SHOULD BE SHOCKED WHEN THE ATHAAB OF ALLAH FINALLY FALLS ON THE COMMUNITY.
