THE ATHAAB OF ALLAH AZZA WA JAL – TURKEY, MOROCCO AND NOW LIBYA – WHO IS NEXT ON THE DIVINE LIST?
“What! Are the people of the quraa (cites, town, villages, etc.) confident that Our Punishment will not overtake them during the night whilst they are sleeping?
“What! Are the people of the quraa (cites, town, villages, etc.) confident that Our Punishment will not overtake them during the day whilst they are (enjoying themselves) in sport (and amusement, dancing and singing)?
Are they confident regarding the Plan of Allah? Only people who are losers feel confident regarding the Plan of Allah (rejecting the Divine Threat of Athaab)”. (Qur’aan)
Since the vast majority of Muslims are deficient in Imaan or lacking in Imaan, the Athaab dimension of natural disasters does not occur to them. Therefore they do not derive naseehat and ibrat from the disastrous havocs wrought by earthquakes, floods and the like. The incidence of Divine Punishment in the form of earthquakes and floods is on the increase. In recent months the targets of the Athaab of Allah Ta’ala were Turkey, Morocco and now Libya.
The immorality, fisq, fujoor and kufr of these nations have exceeded all bounds. When the point of no return is traversed, then the Athaab strikes. The kufr in Muslims has become so indurated in their hearts that their brains have become impervious to naseehat. They have become dumb, deaf and blind, hence like donkeys they just do not heed and understand even after massive suffering has pulverized them.
They only understand the satanism of appealing for relief aid from the kuffaar nations. Allah Azza Wa Jal is completely excised from the equation. While thousands have been killed and tens of thousands displaced in the Libyan Athaab, the people remain brainless. They miserably fail to understand that it is the Wrath of Allah Azza Wa Jal which has appended them in the form of the disastrous storms and floods.
No amount of aid from the kuffaar nations will provide the solution for the misery in which the Muslim nations are wallowing. They are wallowing in their own najaasat of sin and transgression, in fact of brazen kufr. The Qur’aan Majeed and Ahaadith are replete with Aayaat and narrations warning of the Wrath of Allah Azza Wa Jal for transgressors and rebels. Initially, Allah Ta’ala afflicts people with bearable forms of punishment to jolt them into understanding and to provide them the opportunity of Inaabat (turning unto Him with repentance and reformation).
“Most certainly We shall give them to taste of the little punishment, not the greater punishment for perhaps they may return (to the Siraatul Mustaqeem).” (Qur’aan)
When the ‘little punishment’ is ignored, then the Great Athaab (earthquakes, floods, etc.) become halaal for the flagrant transgressors who wickedly rebel against the Deen of Allah Ta’ala. This is what we are witnessing in all the lands of the Muslim Ummah.
Do understand well that every person, every building and every item which are the victims of the disaster have been earmarked by Allah Ta’ala for Athaab. There are no accidents and mishaps in the Plan and Decree of Allah Azza Wa Jal. Allah Ta’ala says in the Qur’aan Majeed: “And, not a leaf drops (from a tree), but He is aware.” The earthquake, flood , hurricane, etc., execute their obligations in strict and perfect submission to the Command of Allah Azza Wa Jal. Nothing is haphazard in the Plan of Allah Ta’ala.
A man asked our Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam): “When will come the Hour (of Qiyaamah)?” Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “When Amaanat (Trust) is destroyed (abused and pillaged).” The man said: “How will Amaanat be destroyed?” Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) responded: “When affairs (government / posts of Trust) are entrusted to those who are unfit (i.e. to scoundrels), then await red winds (hurricanes, tornadoes, cyclones, etc.), earthquakes, disfigurement (of faces and bodies), and (showers of) stones.”
Thus, the Athaab of Allah Azza Wa Jal will be incremental. Nothing will prevent it besides Inaabat ilallaah. But it seems that this Ummah has deracinated its Imaani bearings, hence has become incapable of understanding. More Athaab is in the pipeline. May Allah Ta’ala have mercy on us by guiding this Ummah to Siraatul Mustaqeem.
