ULAMA WHO FLAGRANTLY FLOUT THE SHARIAH ARE MUDHILLEEN
Commenting on our article pertaining to Bid’ah Bukhari Shareef khatams, in which article we had mentioned Shaikh Awaamah, a Brother says:
“AssalamuAlaikum,
I’m not trying to criticise anyone, but this year I saw a picture and it was an event attended by Shaykh Awaamah in a mixed setting, a university or something.
From what I see, the Ulama in South Africa look up to him a lot and Moulana Muhammad works closely with him but as we see now this becomes dangerous territory. I was wondering when anyone will call this out and abstain or will they turn a blind eye as it’s someone they claim as their own? I pray the Ulama realise their mistake before it’s too late because it’s normal people like me who see this and the start to think it’s okay when it isn’t.” Wassalam
(End of letter)
The greatest harm has been inflicted on the Ummah by the Ulama who have deviated from the Shariah. Only worldly and nafsaani goals induce them to conceal the Haqq or to mutilate the Haqq with dubious and baatil interpretation.
When even the Ulama perpetrate blatantly haraam acts so flagrantly as we are seeing nowadays, the ignorant an unwary will most certainly follow suit since the haraam acts in which the Ulama indulge are pleasing to the nafs.
The fears expressed by the brother are valid. The Molvis who associate with the Shaikh will all seek refuge in the fortress of silence. Even those who still believe that pictures and intermingling of sexes are haraam, maintain silence. The pleasure of people is of greater importance to them than the Pleasure of Allah Ta’ala. They therefore will not acquit themselves as guides for the Ummah. Such Ulama come within the stricture of the Qur’aanic Aaayat:
“Why do their Ulama and their Buzrugs not prevent them (the people) from their sinful statements and consumption of haraam. Indeed vile is it that they use to perpetrate.”
Such Ulama are the Mudhilleen for whom Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) expressed intense fear.
