PALESTINE
WHEN IS JIHAD FARDH AIN?
Fardh Ain means Fardh (Compulsory) on every Muslim, male and female.
Explaining the Fardh Ain Jihad, the Fuqaha of Islam say:
When the kuffaar army invades and attacks, and if there is no Muslim army to defend, or if the army is overwhelmed and defeated, then it devolves Fardh for every Muslim, male and female, of that locality to come out and fight the enemy. In the Fardh Ain Jihad scenario, a female is not in need of the permission of her mahram (husband, father, etc.).
This kind of scenario prevails today in Gaza where the Yahoodis are staging land attacks in the refugee camps, homes and even in hospitals. While fleeing from areas subjected to the brutal aerial bombardment is permissible and necessary in view of being defenceless, it is not permissible to flee when the barbarians invade homes, refugee camps, hospitals, etc.
All Muslims, men and women, and even children, are supposed to fight the filthy Yahood savages with whatever weapons they have. If they stand up and fight, the Nusrat of Allah Azza Wa Jal will be at hand. Fleeing from aerial bombing is permissible, but not from hand-to-hand fighting.
According to the Qur’aan Majeed, Allah’s aid is with even weak Muslims. Allah Ta’ala says:
“Now, Allah has lightened (the matter of fighting) for you. He knows that there is a weakness in you. Therefore (despite the weakness) if among you are a hundred who are steadfast, they will overcome (and defeat) two hundred (kuffaar barbarians). If among you are a thousand (steadfast ones), they will overcome (and defeat) two thousand with the Permission (aid and decree) of Allah. Allah is with the Saabireen.” (Al-Anfaal, Aayat 66)
A Muslim with healthy Imaan knows and understands that Maut comes only at its ordained time. The Qur’aan Majeed states:
“No person will die except at the appointed time with the Permission (Decree) of Allah.” (Aal Imraan, Aayat 145)
Fleeing will not save anyone from Maut. Those who flee the battlefield will die at their appointed time. If Maut has not been decreed for them, they will not die while fighting the Yahood khanaazeer. In this regard the Qur’aan Majeed states:
“Say (O Muhammad to the Muslims): “Fleeing (from the enemy) will not benefit you if you flee from Maut or from qatal (Jihad, fighting and killing the enemy)….” (Al-Ahzaab, Aayat 16)
“Verily, Maut from which you flee will most assuredly find you, then you will be returned to (Allah) The Knower of Ghaib and Shahaadat (Unseen and Seen). Then He will inform you of your perpetrations.” (Al-Jumuah, Aayat 8)
No one will escape Death when it arrives. It does not behove the Muslims who are being attacked on the land by the invading Khanaazeer to flee. They should stand, fight, kill and get killed, for then they will become noble Shuhada (Martyrs). So, for the Palestinians who are being attacked by the marauding Yahoodis on land, the only option is to fight. Jihad is Fard Ain on them. The option of flight is haraam.
The Fardh Ain hukm (ruling) has a ripple effect, i.e. it will extend to the next Muslim community in closest proximity to the community under attack, then to the next, then the next and so on as is necessary for aiding the community under kuffaar attack. For example, since there are no Muslims from all the surrounding Muslim countries who are upholding this obligation, the Fardh hukm will devolve on Muslims further away living in even the kuffaar countries.
Therefore, if practically and logistically it is possible for any Muslims to link up with the Palestinians, then it will be incumbent to do so. However, this is not practically possible for the following reasons:
(1) The Palestinians are not in need of manpower. There is no shortage of men capable of fighting. In fact, tens of thousands are fleeing the battlefield.
(2) The Mujaahideen will not be comfortable with outsiders. Firstly, they are not in need of recruits. Secondly, the scope for infiltrating of spies is wide. Thirdly, there is no time to train and arm novices.
(3) There is no way of travelling and linking up with the Palestinian Muslims. Entry into Gaza in the current state of affairs is impossible. Even the armed Mujahideen of Syria cannot link up with the Palestinian Mujahideen.
(4) The most important factor which precludes outside Muslims who are anxious to join in the Jihad, is the flight from the battlefield of the Palestinians themselves.
Due to these factors, Jihad in Palestine will not be Fardh on those Muslims who are debarred by the aforementioned four factors.
Nevertheless, if somebody feels and believes that he is able to link up with the Mujahideen, then by all means he should proceed.
For the present moment, we should abstain from kuffaar and shaitaani nonsensical methods of ‘protest’ and ‘sympathy’. Our only way now is to make earnest and sincere Dua in privacy and in silence. Do not participate in ostentatious bid’ah ceremonies such as Qur’aan khatams, jalsahs and the like.
