Satellite Images Reveal Damage across Israeli Bases after Iranian Strikes
Satellite imagery analysis reportedly revealed damage across several Israeli military sites struck during the war on Iran.
Key Developments
- Satellite analysis reportedly identified damage at multiple Israeli military installations across occupied Palestine.
- Ramat David and Nevatim air bases appeared among the locations showing visible post-strike changes.
- New imagery also suggested fire and structural damage at intelligence and logistical facilities.
Damage Seen at Major Air Bases
High-resolution satellite imagery analyzed by Soar reportedly revealed extensive damage across several Israeli military sites following Iranian retaliatory missile and drone attacks during the US-Israeli war on Iran, according to analysis cited by Israeli media.
The findings, based on Sentinel-2 satellite data and additional imagery sources, reportedly identified visible changes at military facilities across northern and southern occupied Palestine, including air bases, intelligence centers, and logistical sites.
The analysis adds to a growing body of assessments attempting to measure the impact of Iranian strikes during the war, which saw repeated missile and drone attacks launched toward Israeli targets.
Among the clearest examples highlighted in the satellite analysis was the Ramat David Air Base.
According to imagery comparisons, two separate locations within the base appeared to sustain visible damage following Iranian strikes.
Analysis suggested one area had previously been used for support vehicles and equipment, while another reportedly functioned as a refueling and servicing zone for fighter aircraft.
Comparisons between pre-strike and post-strike imagery reportedly showed clear physical changes.
Additional analysis also indicated damage at Nevatim Air Base, Israel’s largest military installation and the primary operating center for the Israeli F-35I ‘Adir’ fleet.
Satellite imagery reportedly recorded visible changes at a fortified position inside the base on March 25.
Nevatim has played a central role in Israeli air operations and houses advanced military aviation infrastructure.
Intelligence and Logistical Sites Also Hit
Separate imagery reportedly identified changes near the Mishar intelligence installation near Safed.
The site is associated with Unit 8200, one of Israel’s most prominent intelligence branches.
According to the analysis, structural changes indicated a possible strike occurring between March 5 and March 10.
Satellite data also highlighted extensive fire damage at Camp Shimshon.
The fire reportedly began on March 10, the same day Hezbollah announced that it had targeted the base using swarms of attack drones.
According to the imagery analysis, the blaze continued for several days and spread across an estimated 200-meter area within the facility.
Camp Shimshon serves as a logistical and ordnance center supporting military operations in northern occupied Palestine.
Historical satellite records and imagery comparisons reportedly suggested the damaged zone had previously been used for military deployment and support activities.
Questions over Military Censorship
The report also raised questions regarding imagery released publicly during the war.
According to the analysis, reductions in image quality in publicly circulated material may have reflected censorship measures intended to minimize perceptions regarding the effectiveness of Iranian strikes.
The war triggered one of the largest missile and drone exchanges in the region in recent years.
According to figures cited by Israeli media, Iran launched approximately 670 missiles and 765 drones toward Israeli-occupied territories during the conflict.
The attacks also coincided with operations launched by regional Resistance groups, particularly Hezbollah, which carried out repeated strikes during the fighting.
The satellite findings emerge as military and intelligence assessments continue examining the scale and effectiveness of attacks carried out during the conflict, amid broader debates regarding military preparedness and strategic consequences following months of war.
