IT WAS A HARAAM ‘KHATM-E-BUKHARI’ JALSAH
Question
Please comment on the recent Khatm-e-Bukhari jalsah held at Miftahul Uloom, Jalalabad, India. The jalsah was held in great style and pomp. But what has come as a shock is that the entire jalsah was videoed and splashed on the internet and social media. We understand that Miftahul Uloom was the Darul Uloom established by Hadhrat Masihullah (Rahmatullah alayh). Numerous Ulama in South Africa and elsewhere acquired their Ilm at Miftahul Uloom. It is sad and shocking to see this famous Darul Uloom indulging so flagrantly in haraam videos. How come that such an institute of the Deen has sunk to this level? Please comment and advise.
ANSWER & COMMENT
There is no conundrum and no surprise in the decline, fall and deviation of Institutions which were once upon a time Bastions of the Sunnah and Fountainheads of the Deen. All Institutions of the Deen have declined and sunk into depravation and extinction.
The noble Khilaafate Institution of the Khulafa-e-Rashideen had also declined and disappeared into oblivion. Almost all our Darul Ulooms, including our Headquarters, Darul Uloom Deoband, have not escaped the ravages of nafsaaniyat and shaitaaniyat. Generally, most of these formerly noble Institutions of the Deen, are today in the control of mercenary molvis suffering from the diseases of hubb-e-maal (love for money), hubb-e-jah (love for name / fame) and hubb-e-dunya (love of the dunya).
Also understand well that among the Signs of Qiyaamah mentioned in the Hadith is that “The dunya will be pursued (and acquired) with the amal of the Deen.” Ilm of the Deen is no longer imparted for Ridha Ilaah (Pleasure of Allah). Despicable nafsaani motives are the objectives which are being fulfilled under camouflage of Deeni hues.
That is the reason for casting aside the Shariah and for the flagrant indulgence in haraam photography and video at the Miftaahul Uloom jalsah. They have betrayed Allah Ta’ala. They have betrayed Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and they have betrayed the noble founder of Miftahul Uloom, Hadhrat Maulana Masihullah (Rahmatullah alayh) who was our Ustaadh and Shaikh.
No Miftahi Molvi should defend the haraam shenanigans which had transpired at the fake Khatm-e-Bukhari jalsah. It was a fake jalsah. FAKE because wanton disregard for the Shariah was demonstrated by personnel who sought to be recognized as men of the Deen. Their turbans, kurtahs and beards are not sufficient for the acquisition of Divine Pleasure. It was indeed an ugly, haraam jalsah organized for mercenary and nafsaani objectives.
