Egypt’s Grand Mufti Nazir Ayyad on Monday said it was “irresponsible” for the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) to issue a fatwa that said all “able Muslims” are under an obligation to wage “jihad” against Israel due to its atrocities in Gaza.
The IUMS said all Muslim countries are under a legal duty “to intervene immediately militarily, economically and politically to stop this genocide and comprehensive destruction” and to impose a siege on Israel.
“The failure of the Arab and Islamic governments to support Gaza while it is being destroyed is considered by Islamic law to be a major crime against our oppressed brothers in Gaza,” its secretary general, Ali al-Qaradaghi, said in a decree issued on Friday.
In response, Ayyad, who is the highest authority for issuing religious opinions in Egypt, rejected the fatwa, saying that “no individual group or entity has the right to issue fatwas on such delicate and critical matters in violation of Sharia principles and its higher objectives”.
“Such actions may endanger the security of societies and the stability of Muslim states,” he added.
“Supporting the Palestinian people in their legitimate rights is a religious, humanitarian and moral duty. However, this support must be provided in a way that truly serves the interests of the Palestinian people, and not to advance specific agendas or reckless ventures that could lead to further destruction, displacement, and disaster for the Palestinians themselves.”
Ayyad said that the declaration of jihad in Islam must be made by a “legitimate authority”.
“In our current era, this authority is embodied in the recognised state and political leadership, not in statements issued by entities or unions that lack legal authority and do not represent Muslims either religiously or in practice,” he said.
‘Calling for jihad without regard to the nation’s capabilities and its political, military and economic reality is an irresponsible act that contradicts Sharia principles’ which call for preparedness, prudence, and consideration of consequences.” Instead of calling for military intervention and jihad, it is wise of Muslim nations to attempt to de-escalate instead, Ayyad added.
Qaradaghi is one of the region’s most respected religious authorities and his decrees carry significant weight among the world’s 1.7 billion Sunnis.
A leading Egyptian pro-government Salafi cleric, Yasser Burhami, this week also rejected the IUMS fatwa, saying it was unrealistic and contrary to Egypt’s 1979 peace treaty with Israel.
Burhami, the head of Egypt’s Salafi movement, is among the main supporters of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and a backer of his 2013 coup against his democratically elected predecessor Mohamed Morsi. A “fatwa” is a non-binding Islamic legal ruling from a respected religious scholar, usually based on the Quran or the Sunnah – the sayings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad. Qaradaghi’s statement, which was also backed by 14 other prominent Muslim scholars, called on all Islamic countries to “review their peace treaties” with Israel and for Muslims in the United States to pressure President Donald Trump to “fulfill his election promises to stop the aggression and establish peace”. Israel has killed more than 50,000 Palestinians since its war on Gaza began in October 2023. It has laid waste to the Palestinian enclave, displaced most of its inhabitants and in recent weeks enforced a siege that has blocked all food and medical aid from entering. A case brought by South Africa at the International Court of Justice has accused Israel of waging genocide. The International Criminal Court has also issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defence minister, Yoav Gallant.

OUR COMMENT
We have not seen the Fatwa issued by IUMS, nevertheless there is a need to comment on the copro statements of the Grand Iblees of Egypt who is the bootlicker and puppet of the murderer and butcher Sisi of Egypt.
(1) The Grand Iblees said:
“It was “irresponsible” for the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) to issue a fatwa that said all “able Muslims” are under an obligation to wage “jihad” against Israel due to its atrocities in Gaza.”
Undoubtedly, Jihad has devolved Fardh on the Ummah in the wake of the USA-ISRAEL massacre and genocide of the Muslims of Palestine. However, this Fardh is not the obligation if “all able Muslims” as the IUMS Fatwa purports. On this score we are in agreement with the Grand Devil of Egypt.
There are approximately 2 billion Muslims in the world. It is humanly impossible for 2 billion Muslims to trek to Gazzah and to stand under the showers of bombs which the Yahood and Nasaara enemies are raining on the Muslims of Gazzah. In fact, even the Muslims of Palestine who are the first on whom Jihad is Fardh Ain are helpless. The ordinary folk and even the Resistance fighters, deficient in Imaan or lacking Imaan, have no material, mundane response for the murderous and incessant bombing. It is ludicrous to expect 2 billion unarmed Muslims from all over the world to find the means to trek to Palestine and to fight phantoms. Thus, Jihad is not Fardh on either the Muslims of other countries nor on such Palestinians who have no means of fighting the planes and drones in the sky and the tanks on the ground.
On those who do have the means, Jihad is Fardh. There is no doubt in it. Jihad will remain Fardh on them as long as they have the means of fighting the brutal enemy.
(2) The Grand Iblees said:

The puppet bootlicker has no option other than to toe the line of the kufr government of Egypt. He is on the payroll of the kuffaar regime which is in cahoots with Israel and the US. Issuing Fatwa is the inherent Right of a qualified Mufti. The Mufti need not be a member of any entity, organization or some stupid academy to issue Fatwas. The true Mufti issues Fatwa in his own right as a representative of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) who said: “The Ulama are the Heirs (Representatives) of the Ambiya.”
The copro, maajin, liberal deviate ‘muftis’ who prowl around the globe today are excluded. They are in fact heirs of Iblees. A true Mufti does not issue a fatwa in ‘violation of Shariah principles’. Although we have not seen the IUMS fatwa, the view of Jihad being compulsory on the Ummah is correct and is NOT in violation of the principles of the Shariah as the Grand Iblees of Egypt alleges. On the contrary his claims are putrid, baatil and in violation of the principles of the Shariah.
The moron speaks of the “higher objectives of the Shariah” in violation of which the fatwa was issued according to him. He has not elucidated on these ‘higher objectives’ and the manner in which these have been violated by the fatwa of Jihad. In fact, the Higher Objectives of the Shariah demand the constant waging of Jihad by the Islamic State (which is non-existent today) to raise the Kalimah of Allah Ta’ala. This compulsion is emphasized in many Qur’aanic Aayaat and Ahaadith. Jihad is an integral constituent of Islam. Abandoning Jihad is tantamount to Kufr. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) has instructed that Jihad be perpetuated until the Day of Qiyaamah. But today, even speaking about Jihad is ‘terrorism’ for these bootlicking muftis who are the agents of Iblees. The Grand Iblees is a representative of the Taaghoot, Sisi’s kufr regime.
So fearful are these agents of Taaghoot for even the mere word of Jihad, that the Grand Iblees was constrained to wail:
“Such actions may endanger the security of societies and the stability of Muslim states,” he added. The contrary is the truth. Abandonment of Jihad has not only endangered the stability of the Ummah, it has destroyed the Ummah and it has brought the Ummah down sprawling at the boots of the Yahood and Nasaara.
Regarding the ‘muslim states’ about which he laments, let it be well understood that with the solitary exception of Afghanistan there is absolutely NO Islamic state today in existence. All so-called Muslim states are Kufr states. Every Muslim state today is Darul Kufr and states such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Tunisia are actually Daarul Harb.
All of the regimes at the helm of affairs in these former Lands of Islam are absolute Taaghooti regimes. They have abolished the Shariah in entirety. The Law of the Qur’aan has been substituted with system of Taaghoot.
(3) The Grand Iblees of Egypt said:
“However, this support must be provided in a way that truly serves the interests of the Palestinian people, and not to advance specific agendas or reckless ventures that could lead to further destruction, displacement, and disaster for the Palestinians themselves.”
What support is the moron hallucinating? The Palestinian segment of the Ummah is being obliterated on a daily basis. Palestine is a killing and a massacre field. All of these vile so-called ‘Muslim’ states are viewing the genocide, the brutality, the murder and the massacres without even barking like a toothless dog. They are worse than swines. They are the ones whose silent and collusive observation of the scenario of daily mass murder and suffering is the vilest form of ‘reckless venture’ which is incrementally leading “to further destruction, displacement, and disaster for the Palestinians themselves.”
These miserable cowards and rubbish are the silent spectators, in collaboration with Israel and USA, who are observing the destruction and annihilation of Palestine and its inhabitants. Yet, they are too dumb and stupid to understand that they are next on the list of the Yahood and Nasaara. After Palestine, the enemy will divert their focus to them. They have already invaded Syria which has been thoroughly neutralized militarily.
(4) The Grand Iblees said:
“… That the declaration of jihad in Islam must be made by a “legitimate authority”.
Who is this ‘legitimate authority’? The IUMS or any qualified Mufti is a legitimate authority in Islam to issue a Fatwa, be it a Fatwa of Jihad. As for the issuance of Fataawa, the political entities have no legitimacy. They are wholly unqualified, unfit and too stupid for voicing themselves on issues of the Shariah. The political entities, if they are truly Islamic, and if they lack qualified Islamic personnel for issuing Fatwa, have to compulsorily refer to the Ulama before embarking on any project to ascertain the ruling of the Shariah.
As for making the declaration of Jihad for practical implementation, this is the obligation of the Ameerul Mu’mineen or of the Islamic State who shall make the declaration only after having acquired the ruling of the Shariah from qualified Muftis.
(5) The Grand Iblees said:
“In our current era, this authority is embodied in the recognised state and political leadership, not in statements issued by entities or unions that lack legal authority and do not represent Muslims either religiously or in practice,”.
That the kufr regimes in Muslim countries are legitimate authorities to decide on the validity of the Fataawa of the Muftis, is preposterous. It is an absolutely fallacious claim made by the Grand Iblees of Egypt. The ‘political leadership’ in Muslim countries is murtad and kaafir. This leadership has no Shar’i legitimacy. This political leadership which the Grand Iblees is bootlicking is the enemy of Islam. The Shariah does not recognize the legitimacy of the Taaghooti states.
The obligation of Jihad being Fardh devolves on all the Islamic States in stages, one after the other. The first State on which Jihad is Fardh is the one closest to the arena of the war. Jiahd is not Fardh Ain on the 2 billion Muslims of the world. Such a claim is preposterous. It is an unrealistic supposition. In addition, there is no shortage of manpower in Palestine. They do not require untrained, unarmed, stupid men to flood Gazzah and become fodder for the bombs and tanks of Israel. Suicide is not Fardh Ain.
While Jihad is Fardh on all Muslim States, the gargantuan problem is that there is no Islamic State existing today. Besides Afghanistan, there is not a single Islamic government any where in the world. All are Murtaddeen Kuffaar. Hence, the fatwa of Jihad is of no concern to them nor does it apply to these Murtaddeen.
Afghanistan is far from Palestine, and it lacks the means for even defending itself adequately. Thus, at the best, the Fatwa issued by IUMS is futile. It is full of sound and fury signifying nil.
THE REALITY ON THE GROUND
The reality is that Allah Ta’ala is withholding His Nusrat (Aid) from Muslims. Allah Ta’ala is allowing the kuffaar to execute the genocide in Palestine. It is the Punishment of Allah Ta’ala which no one can avert.
It is only the decree of Allah Azza Wa Jal that can save the Muslims of Palestine. But that decree is reliant on Muslim reformation and submission to Allah Ta’ala by following His Shariah and adopting the Sunnah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam).
